Justin Fileds’ Chicago Bears Christmas List: An upgraded offensive line

The last thing that I can imagine Justin Fields asking Santa Claus for next season is an upgraded offensive line. Teven Jenkins is by far the best lineman on the squad and he now needs to see a specialist due to a neck injury he sustained in the Eagles game. My fear is that neck injury is connected to his back injuries and his career may be over. I’ll admit, I’m a pessimist though so I always go worst-case scenario.

Braxton Jones has been a nice surprise but needs to put on some muscle if he wants to stick on that left side. I’d be looking to upgrade both the left tackle and right tackle position and let Braxton Jones compete with whoever Ryan Poles and the Bears bring in. The 2023 NFL Draft has a few names to look at, but free agency could also be an option. If Justin Fields was given better pass protection throughout the year, we’d have a better idea of the type of passer he is going to become.

Can Santa Claus help this team find a new offensive line for 2023? It’s possible that with the injury to Teven Jenkins the whole line looks different next season. With over $115 million to work with, plus a full set of draft picks, Santa Claus just needs to give Poles and Ian Cunningham the blueprint to follow for next offseason. Will that fit in his magical sack?
