1. Could Larry Borom find a role with Chicago Bears at guard?

When Larry Borom returned from his first injury, the Chicago Bears decided to keep Riley Reiff starting over him. He was essentially benched. Reiff is a veteran, but if they liked what Borom was doing he would have gotten thrown back into the lineup.

Unfortunately, an injury to Reiff had Borom back in. But, Borom immediately went from a concussion to a knee injury in his return, and he missed the last couple of weeks. Borom is back, but he is not at right tackle.

Injuries to Cody Whitehair, and Teven Jenkins have a huge need at guard. Borom was supposed to have guard abilities from his pre-draft profile, and this may be the best time to see if there is any future there.

It appears as though he is a backup at best at tackle. However, if he had three great games at left guard, he could at least enter training camp next season in a competition with a mid-round rookie, or another veteran free agent.

The team did not expect Teven Jenkins to find a home at guard, but once they made the change it happened naturally. Now, we should get three games of Larry Borom at left guard to see if anything is there.
