How does Justin Fields compare to the rest of the 2021 draft class?

No. 2 overall pick Zach Wilson vs Justin Fields
"2022 Stats: 1,688 yards, six touchdowns, seven interceptions Career Stats: 4,022 yards, 15 touchdowns, 18 interceptions"
Zach Wilson quickly became the darling of the 2021 draft. After an impressive freshman and sophomore campaign, Wilson exploded onto the scene in the 2020 college football season. This upward trend continued throughout the pre-draft process. Wilson dazzled at his pro day and even had some thinking he was a similar level prospect to Lawrence.
History says that any draft that includes five first-round quarterbacks is bound to have a couple of misses. To put it politely, Wilson appears to be one of them. Many were willing to overlook Wilson’s subpar play as a rookie. However, fans quickly lost their patience when his struggles persisted in his second season. New York benched Wilson multiple times, and it is believed the Jets will look to move him this offseason.
How does Zach Wilson compare to Justin Fields?
While this was a very real debate at one point in time, it no longer appears to be. As of now, Fields is better at pretty much every aspect of the quarterback position besides ball security. As much growth as Fields has shown as both a passer and runner during the second half of the season, this has just as much to do with Wilson’s incompetence at quarterback.
If Fields continues to develop into a franchise quarterback, the Wilson selection will go down in infamy as one of the biggest draft-day blunders of all time.
