1. Chicago Bears took a shot on N’Keal Harry

Some fans are still calling for N’Keal Harry to get another look, but it is hard so say that he will. Sure, an injury derailed the early portion of the season, but he has had every chance to prove to the coaches that he deserves more playing time.

They even had a bye week, and he was not a part of their plans at all. It would be one thing if he failed to crack a talented wide-out corps, but he was not able to pass Dante Pettis this season. That should tell you plenty about Harry and where he stands in the eyes of the coaches.

Perhaps at a very low salary, he would return, but he probably does not want to stay after getting limited chances in Chicago. When you look at the Chicago Bears depth chart, he is already behind Darnell Mooney, Chase Claypool, and Equanimeous St. Brown.

Velus Jones is signed next season while Harry is not, so there are already four names that Harry knows he cannot beat out. If the Chicago Bears want to upgrade the wide receiver room, it means moving on from N’Keal Harry.

The draft cost was so minimal that taking the chance this season was worth it. It did not work out, time to move on. The only thing that would make the trade bad, it doubling down and keeping him next year, thus limiting their ability to upgrade the room.
