5 positions Chicago Bears must address this offseason
1. Can Chicago Bears hit the right Wide Receiver?
The Chicago Bears have slowly but surely taken this from a depleted room to a room that is just one player away from completing the room. Overall, Velus Jones and Equanimeous St. Brown are fine as depth. Chase Claypool and Darnell Mooney are probably best off as the number two or three in your offense, or both are quality number twos.
Still, this shows a team that has 2-5 on the depth chart locked down. They are still missing that number one guy. The top wideout makes everything in the room go. If they add a lower-end player, they are asking too much from everyone in the room, but the ripple effect of adding a top dog would make the entire room look better.
The Chicago Bears can throw assets at the defensive line to find multiple starters, but they have to be selective and make the right move at wide receiver. This will be tougher than you think, especially for Ryan Poles who does not have a track record of scouting wideouts.
He had a few swings, and this time he has to hit the home run. This will be the most interesting position to see how Poles maneuvers this, and makes the room better by adding a big name wideout.
