Chicago Bears Mock Draft: Round 2, Pick 64 – Jarrett Patterson, OL, Notre Dame

Another offensive lineman?!

As Dave Hester from Storage Wars would say, “Yuuuuuup!”

Well, as stated a few times prior, the Chicago Bears need offensive linemen like they need air to breathe.

Another season with Sam Mustipher as the center for the Bears is a recipe for disaster.

And that’s where 6-foot-4, 310-pound Jarrett Patterson comes into play.

The fact that he’s a Notre Dame offensive lineman makes him enticing enough, but if that doesn’t move the needle on its own, there’s more to like about Patterson.

Versatility is something that Patterson has as a prospect that should really excite the Bears. He might not be the best offensive lineman in the draft, but he has the ability to play guard or center at a high level.

And with the Chicago Bears’ current offensive line, having a guy like Jarrett Patterson in the mix could be huge.

That, and he doesn’t give up sacks.

Justin Fields alone should be salivating at the thought of Patterson joining his offensive line.
