The Chicago Bears are picking first overall, and they earned it with their record. So, this offseason will not be all sunshine and rainbows. However, there were still some impressive feats to take away from the season.

The team is about all 22 starters and all 53 players on the roster, so there can be a bad team with a few exceptional outcomes. Who are the biggest winners from this lost season?

6. Justin Fields will be the Chicago Bears starting quarterback next season

At the beginning of the season, not all fans were convinced that this would be the case. During the season, Fields started to win some over, but talk still has come out that the team should take Bryce Young first, and trade Fields.

Ryan Poles put most rumors to bed when he said that the team would need to be blown away by any quarterback to consider them. That means that it would have to be Trevor Lawrence, Joe Burrow, or Andrew Luck’s levels of prospects. Bryce Young may be good, but he just is not in that tier.

Justin Fields’ passing numbers still are not quite where fans would want them, but he progressed In nearly every passing metric, and that is with a much worse supporting cast. Beyond that, he almost broke the record for rushing yards by a quarterback, so it is hard to deny that level of dynamic ability.

With another potential jump as a pass, better players around him, and similar ability with the ball in his hands, the Chicago Bears will be relying on Justin Fields to make magic happen next season.
