3. Teven Jenkins went from reserve to starter

When you think of where Teven Jenkins was in August, and where he stands on the current roster now, you have to put him in as a winner. Jenkins was struggling to get in with the new coaching staff. He was not winning position battles at either tackle spot, and right guard became a last resort.

After splitting time with Lucas Patrick during the first couple of weeks, the team leaned on Jenkins was a full-time starter. The next thing you knew, the Chicago Bears had their best offensive lineman.

Jenkins is a mauler in the run game. He has some clearing up to do in pass protection, but even In that area, he was trusted more than most of his peers. If anything, injuries may be a question mark.

He fell in the draft with questions about his back, and his neck caused him to miss time this season. Eventually, they put him on the IR. So, in all, he started in 11 games. That is enough to trust him as the starter, but also shows room for growth. Fortunately, he will be given that time, as the team has other spots to fill, but right guard is not one of them.
