Grading every rookie from the Chicago Bears 2022 NFL Draft
By Evan Bruner
Other Chicago Bears Selections
To limit redundancy, the players who did not accumulate enough reps to receive true grades will be placed in the same column. This group ranges from players who received playing time to those who were cut.
Pick No. 186: Zachary Thomas, OT
Thomas was the only player of the 11 selected in the 2022 draft not to make the 53-man roster. He may make the training camp squad this preseason, but there’s a good chance he never plays a down of regular season football.
Pick No. 203: Trestan Ebner, RB
Finished the year with 25 carries for 54 yards and two receptions for eight yards. The limited playing time despite injuries to both David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert suggests the coaching staff has little confidence in him.
Pick No. 207: Doug Kramer, C
Kramer suffered an injury in training camp and did not play a single down. Could be on the bubble next season.
Pick No. 226: Ja’Tyre Carter, OG
Played 31 snaps. Did not allow a sack or pressure in 19 pass-blocking reps. Could get extended playing time in the preseason.
Pick No. 254: Elijah Hicks, S
166 total snaps. Allowed four receptions for 106 yards. Had a season-high of six total tackles in Week 12 versus the Jets.
