Chicago Bears liked what they saw from Trevon Wesco

Trevon Wesco is another player the Chicago Bears pick up from waivers. He was released from the New York Jets on the final cutdown day. Still, just like Armon Watts, he went from being way behind to passing up current players on the depth chart.

It took about three weeks before the team was playing Trevon Wesco over Ryan Griffin. Wesco got Injured to end the season, but he finished as a solid second tight end. His ability to block was a low-key great addition to the team because it opened so much up for Cole Kmet in the passing game.

Ryan Griffin is the most likely to not return to the Chicago Bears, so Wesco is definitely one of the more likely players to return. The Bears have to add two or three more tight ends, so they might as well cut down one of those holes on the roster by keeping Wesco.
