Chicago Bears Senior Bowl Scouting: Isaiah Foskey – Notre Dame

A player I am hoping the Chicago Bears look at on Day 2 of the 2023 NFL Draft if they want to add more pass-rush help is Isaiah Foskey. I already said I have a bias toward Notre Dame, but Foskey is a true pass-rushing defensive end. He stands in at 6’5″ and weighs 265 pounds. He fits as a down, defensive end in this Matt Eberflus system.

Foskey would push every pass-rusher on this current roster to start as soon as he is drafted. He is coming off of a breakout year with 10.5 sacks for the Irish. He had 10 sacks the year before too. Honestly, he didn’t flash as much as I would have liked in Senior Bowl practice, but I am hoping he proves what I see in him during the actual game today.

When watching his film at Notre Dame, Foskey shows explosiveness off the line. He has a solid counter-move game but needs to add more pass-rush moves to his repertoire. His run-stopping ability is still a work in progress, but he’s shown consistent progress in that area too. Foskey has an upside to his game but isn’t a finished product. I have him graded as a late second-round option who could possibly be there when Chicago picks at 54.
