D.J. Johnson had a chance to improve his stock this week but did not do too much. Still, that could be what brings him into a spot where the Chicago Bears can draft him this late. He has a lot of the physical profile that you want, and if he develops, his upside still would be better than someone like Dominique Robinson.
Still, he does not use his length enough and needs to have someone tap into some of that potential. A later pick for a depth edge rusher should help the room.
SirVocea Dennis is exactly what you want in a late-round linebacker. He can play special teams and runs downhill with toughness. Still, his best traits come in coverage. Dennis could round out the LB group but also would have the upside to be a coverage backer, who complements the run-stuffing Jack Sanborn. How great would it be if Dennis and Sanborn was the duo moving forward and the cost was a UDFA and seventh-round pick?
