Chicago Bears WR Draft Prospect: Jordan Addison – USC

2022 stats: 59 catches, 875 yards, 8 touchdowns.

What he brings to the table

Possibly the most well-rounded receiver in the draft, Jordan Addison is a great separator who was lethal in both the quick and downfield game at USC. Addison is a very fluid mover which can also make him tough to bring down. If Addison were 6’1″ and 210 pounds, he would be a Ja’Marr Chase caliber prospect, but unfortunately, he’s six foot even and 175 pounds. This small frame has made Addison vulnerable in press coverage and stops him from being used more toward the middle of the field.

How he fits with the Bears

Addison has the potential to be a Stefon Diggs caliber wide receiver, but his diminutive stature could stop him from being a true X. Addison would easily be the Bears’ best route runner and separator from day one. Additionally, his pro readiness would make him an immediate contributor.

If Addison improves his play strength, he could move Mooney back to the slot, which would play more into his strength as a wide receiver. While this fit is compelling, Addison is currently projected to go in the middle of the first round, and it’s unclear if the Bears plan on trading back that far.
