3. The Chicago Bears have to call for DeAndre Hopkins

DeAndre Hopkins is similar to Mike Evans and Courtland Sutton in that it would be much easier to trade him after June 1. The team would save $19M, which would be great. Still, they can save $8M by trading him now, and if that means that they get more compensation in a trade, they probably would be okay to eat the money. They would save $14M in 2023 as well.

The reality is this year is probably a reset in Arizona. Their quarterback tore his ACL in December, he is probably not going to be ready for week one. They also will have a new GM, and a new head coach.

It only makes sense to want to start fresh. That means unloading an aging receiver and eating some bad money this year to reset the books the following season. The Chicago Bears would have to be on this. He is 31, so they may only want him for the next two years. Still, his game is not built on athletic ability, as he is much more of a smooth, and savvy wideout. This is certainly an option the Chicago Bears have to consider.
