8 Wide recievers the Chicago Bears could target in trade negotiations
Another WR the Chicago Bears should consider a trade for is Jerry Jeudy
It was recently reported that the Denver Broncos were attempting to trade Jerry Jeudy before the trade deadline last season. Reports are that they were unable to strike a deal because teams were not willing to pay the price Denver demanded. Rumors are that they wanted a second and a fourth at least for the third-year wide receiver. Now, Jeudy is heading into year four and it will be interesting to see what the Broncos decide to do with him.
I’ll be honest, I am glad the Chicago Bears did not give up two draft picks for Jeudy. I am hopeful that Chase Claypool ends up proving himself in 2023 knowing that he only cost one second-rounder. However, Jerry Jeudy would have been a very solid addition and I am curious about what he would cost now in a trade. He is coming off his best season, but he hasn’t shown any better production than Claypool has throughout their first three seasons. That said, Jeudy has dealt with injuries in a way that Claypool has not.
Last year, Jeudy played in 15 games, finishing with 972 yards and six touchdowns. He is a former first-round pick (15th overall) who has yet to live up to his hype. Jeudy has WR1 potential, but he’s not established in the same way Tee Higgins is right now. If you can get him for less draft capital, the upside could be what Higgins is now. However, he could just be another WR2 in the final year of his contract that the Bears have to deal with (Darnell Mooney and Chase Claypool).
