The Chicago Bears need to be in on any DeAndre Hopkins trades

Not all of these wide receivers make sense from a trade standpoint when looking at the other teams’ perspectives. However, DeAndre Hopkins falls into the highly probable to be traded category. The Arizona Cardinals have changed general managers and head coaches this offseason. Moving a piece like Hopkins could make for a similar move to what Ryan Poles did with Khalil Mack last offseason.

Hopkins comes with a $22 million dollar dead cap hit, but the team would save over $8 million this season. The Cardinals are not in immediate need of cap help as they have $13 million available currently. However, it would not surprise me if the new regime looks to move in a new direction.

When Hopkins was suspended, it apparently voided his no-trade clause. Despite missing the first six weeks of the 2022 season, Hopkins still finished with over 700 receiving yards. His touchdowns were down a bit, but that would not stop me from bringing him in to help develop Justin Fields. Maybe the Cardinals would be interested in moving up from three to one to guarantee Will Anderson?
