The Chicago Bears head coaching candidates list has reached 15, signaling some concern from the team's fanbase about the process

While most assume and want the team to laser-focus on two candidates, the length of the list has led others to believe that there will be a surprise or a dark horse who comes out of nowhere to win the job.

Coaches such as Mike Tomlin, Sean McVay, and John Harbaugh were not seen as the obvious hires when they were made and they all turned into slam dunks.

Who are some of the candidates that could have that sort of improvement out of nowhere?

3. Drew Petzing

Drew Petzing has a few things going for him. He is young, and he spent most of his time with Kevin Stefanski, who is known as a strong offensive mind. Then, when he went on his own with the Arizona Cardinals, he had them competing for a playoff spot when many thought they were in for a long rebuild. He has shown improvement everywhere he goes and could be the star underrated hire.

2. Aaron Glenn

Every week this season, it seemed that the Detroit Lions lost a key impact defensive player but that didn't stop Aaron Glenn. They hit a funk late in the year but stepped up when it mattered most against Minnesota. You can tell he is the all-time players coach, but he also brings an impressive scheme that is more diverse than Matt Eberflus.

1. Joe Brady

Joe Brady is just 35 years old and the only time that he actually struggled was with Matt Rhule and the dysfunctional Carolina Panthers. Yes, his other stops have featured Drew Brees, Joe Burrow, and Josh Allen, but those stops have all had immense success. Brady has a lot of upside to think about with his age and the people he has worked with.
