3. The Chicago Bears should lean on Roschon Johnson to convert power plays

One concerning area for the Bears has been their inability to convert short-yardage plays. The failed speed option against the Indianapolis Colts was the biggest confirmation of that. However, they have started to find a solution in Roschon Johnson.

Johnson has 13 rushing attempts when the Bears have the ball with four or fewer yards to convert a first down or touchdown. Johnson has converted nine of those attempts, six first downs, and three touchdowns.

You would like for him to be a little more automatic in this area, but this is where the Bears should lean. Johnson did not play in week one and hardly saw the field in week two. In the past three weeks, he has 25 rushing attempts and three touchdowns. The Bears need to continue to work him and use his power to wear teams down. Using Johnson more sporadically throughout the game could help them convert more of their short-yardage chances.
