The Chicago Bears finally got in on the joint practice fun with a chance to get a preview of their next preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
All indications were that it was a good day for the practice, as the offense put up a lot of points. There was plenty to clean up on offense and defense, though.
There were more clear winners from the practice with the Bears than losers. Here's a look at who had a great day of work and who needs to review the game tape and improve.
Winners and losers from Bears-Bengals joint practice
Winner: Kaden Davis, WR
Injuries at wide receiver have allowed Davis to shine, and he continued to do so at the joint practice. He scored a red-zone touchdown during the joint practice, and every reporter watching highlighted it. More and more people are becoming convinced that he can make the roster, so it's hard not to buy into the hype.
Losers: Bears' interior offensive line
Bengals defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence was a menace throughout the day for the Bears' offensive line. That suggests the issue was likely starting center Garrett Bradbury, who has had a good training camp up to this point. Williams faced all kinds of pressure from the interior, so the Bears will need to go back to the drawing board on the offensive line before the season starts.
Winner: Dillon Thieneman, S
With a lot of eyes on the secondary amidst the injuries there, it was nice to see Thieneman have a highlight moment from the practice. He made a nice interception of Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, which should boost Thieneman's confidence for the rest of training camp. It was a good showing from the rookie, as he has pressure on him to succeed in Year 1 as a first-round pick.
Winner: Kalif Raymond, WR
From the sound of things, Raymond is becoming a reliable receiver for Williams. It was noted at least a few times during the joint practice that Raymond made plays, including a red-zone touchdown catch. With Luther Burden III still recovering from injury, it's good that Raymond is stepping up as the WR2 and could play a bigger role in this offense this season.

Winner: Caleb Williams, QB
During the seven-on-seven drill, Williams threw three touchdowns on the first five passes, which is a second straight practice the Bears got off to a fast start in the passing game. More success could have been had if Williams didn't have to face so much pressure up front. Still, Williams showed a lot of good things in the joint practice, with some things to clean up.
