4. The Chicago Bears center position could get figured out

Coleman Shelton is another player who had to hit the ground running. He was shuffling in as a backup early in the offseason, but injuries to both Nate Davis and Ryan Bates had him go from competing to start at center to the starting center.

Shelton did not get a full offseason with his quarterback despite the quarterback being a rookie, and while he knows Shane Waldron from past teams, it was a new offense altogether. Shelton had a bad start to his career with the Bears.

Still, it is fair to say that his last two games have been the best two with the team. He is starting to settle into the position and he is getting used to the new environment. A week off to reset and re-charge may have him coming out strong to finish the season.
