2. The Chicago Bears running game should be improved

The Bears finally started to figure things out in the running game recently. With Roschon Johnson healthy the team essentially cut Khalil Herbert out of the picture. This has allowed clear roles to be defined for Johnson and D’Andre Swift, and we are starting to see it pay off.

Still, it is fair that while Swift has ascended, those defenses were the worst. However, his influence in the passing game is a huge reason the team signed him and he went from completely uninvolved to being a key part of that attack. That should not stop.

Also, Roschon Johnson should only continue to get better. He was injured to start the year and the team has smartly been easing him in. He is their biggest running back, their best runner between the guards, and he is their best option in short-yardage situations.

His presence can take a big burden off of Swift and allow him to be more of the big-play back. The ascension of Johnson should help the run game as a whole.
