If there is any silver lining for this faltering Bears team following this loss it was their 1-point win in the turnover margin.
With zero turnovers and an interception from T.J. Edwards, the Bears won the turnover battle for the sixth time this season. That has unfortunately not been enough to help the team win either of their last two zero-giveaway outings, but prior to their matchup with the Cardinals, whichever team won the turnover battle in the Bears' game ultimately won the game itself.
Offensively, protecting the football ultimately starts with Williams, who turned in his sixth zero-interception performance and his fifth in six games. The rookie seems to have learned from his early season games in which he committed multiple turnovers, and his development should bring some optimism back to the Bears offense. Defensively, the unit continues to be one of the more aggressive groups when it comes to taking the ball away and has now done so in eight of their nine games this season.
