Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season is slowly approaching, and the Chicago Bears have a tough matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
Both teams are coming off big Week 1 wins but have questions heading into the game. Minnesota could be without their starting quarterback and running back for the contest. Chicago's defense surrendered 37 points to the Carolina Panthers, so they need to clean up some big mistakes.
Six Vikings players could make the Bears' lives miserable, so Chicago needs to stop them early in the game. Here are the guys Chicago needs to keep an eye on in Week 2.
Who on the Vikings do the Bears need to make sure they stop in Week 2?
Aaron Jones, RB
Jones will suddenly get a lot more touches in Week 2 after Jordan Mason was placed on IR with a thumb injury. Last week, Jones only had 40 yards on 12 carries and a touchdown in the win over the Green Bay Packers. Could Jones revert to his Green Bay days? Seems unlikely, but the Bears shouldn't overlook him.
Dallas Turner, EDGE
Turner has gotten better over the last two years in the NFL and could end up being the next great edge rusher for the Vikings. He had an incredible performance against the Packers, with seven quarterback hits, two tackles, and one sack. Whether it's Darnell Wright, Theo Benedert, or Braxton Jones, the Bears need to shut Turner down quickly.
Jordan Addison, WR
Addison was shut out of a catch last week, but that doesn't mean he can't be an impact player on this team. Chicago is going to be double teaming Jefferson in coverage all day long, so Addison should be left open in the passing game. Watch for someone like Tyrique Stevenson or Malik Muhammad to make sure they don't get beat by him.
Andrew Van Ginkel, EDGE
We just talked about Turner, but Van Ginkel will be just as tough for the Bears' tackles to handle. He had two quarterback hits and 1.5 sacks last week. His speed and experience will be a pain for the Bears to block. If the tackles don't do their job, Caleb Williams will be banged up in this game.
Myles Price, Returner
It might be odd to put a return specialist on the list, but Price can flip the game on its head with one return. He had a 68-yard kickoff return in the win over the Packers. If the Bears don't stop him on kickoff coverage, field position could make or break this team.

Justin Jefferson, WR
This might be the most obvious one, but Jefferson has to be slowed down in some capacity. He had eight receptions for 92 yards and two touchdowns in their win last week. Jefferson can change the game as a deep-threat receiver, so with the Bears' secondary shaky right now, that might be too much to ask.
