Tuesday morning was two decades in the making for Bears fans. For almost 20 years, Chicagoland had to spend two nights a year watching Rodgers destroy their hopes and dreams. He literally walked into the end zone at Soldier Field, found a field mic, and declared ownership of one of the NFL's flagship franchises. And everyone agreed! It was awful.

But now, things are different. It's a new day. Caleb Williams has Bears fans dreaming, and Rodgers has Bears fans laughing. Go ahead, roll your eyes. That's fine. Tuesday morning brought some much-needed comic relief to the relationship between Bears fans and Rodgers, thanks to the latter's heavy-handed plan to get Robert Saleh fired paying off literally one month into the season. It would have been nice if he figured out how to tank a team while he was playing in Green Bay, but sometimes patience pays off. The NFL world is once again laughing at him, and Bears fans are leading the charges. Are the Bears officially back?
Bears fans finally get to laugh at Aaron Rodgers and it feels GREAT
Some people may think it's petty, but fans of other teams just don't understand what this feels like for Bears fans. A whole generation of them grew up with Rodgers destroying their season like clockwork. The Bears were Rodgers' muse – he did his best work with them in the room. It was miserable. And now Rodgers has a new team to torment, and it's his own?? Delicious. He tried his best with the Packers, but it just wasn't as successful with a team that's as organizationally sound as Green Bay is. The Jets, however, are a fake team. They do things like "let Rodgers skip camp to walk around the woods" and "draft Zach Wilson." They were the perfect mark for Rodgers.
Will this change how Bears feel about Rodgers? Probably not. But THIS is how it feels, everyone. THIS is what the last 20 years of their life has been like. And now they just get to join the chorus of people laughing at Rodgers shenanigans, which is new and exciting. At this point, it feels like the Rodgers-Bears rivalry is officially a tie.
