Sunday, the Chicago Bears might be getting their last chance at Aaron Rodgers when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers. Forget the all-time record Rodgers has against the Bears. This is an opportunity for a statement; to go out on top.
Coming into this game, of course, Rodgers has been asked plenty about his longtime rivalry with the Bears while playing in Green Bay.
"There's incentive for every opponent, but I have enjoyed many a Sunday, Monday and Thursdays in that city. Great sports town. Phenomenal sports fans. Great place to play," Rodgers told reporters, as trying to butter up Bears fans as he usually does.
But then, Rodgers said something completely off-base. He was asked about being the villain in Chicago.
"I'd rather not be. I mean, I'm not in Green Bay anymore. I feel like we can let bygones be bygones, maybe. I can, I guess," he said with a smirk and laugh.
Aaron Rodgers has another thing coming if he thinks Bears fans will ever bury the hatchet
I'm sorry, isn't this the guy who once famously coined the phrase "I STILL OWN YOU!" after scoring a touchdown to seal a victory for the Packers at Soldier Field?
Yep, he's the one. Just thought we'd go back and double check.
Rodgers doesn't actually think Bears fans can "let bygones be bygones." He's also patronizing fans as he has long done by calling Chicago a great sports city and trying to give props to the fan base.
This fan base doesn't need his respect, and they never will.
"I hope those fans can put that behind them. I'm sure they can. I don't expect them to," he said.
Sure, Aaron. We're all just going to pretend like the past 20 years never happened. The years of torment and smug, smirking expressions... let's just forget about it all and be friends.
Absolutely not.
You might as well ask Red Sox fans to forget every drop of bad blood with the Yankees.
Yeah, we're all just going to be friends now. Cool.
Not a chance. No shot, Aaron. This fan base has never wanted to see their defense take you down more in its history.
To have an opportunity like this is absolutely golden. The Bears beating Aaron Rodgers at Soldier Field in what could very well be his last season in the NFL means Chicago gets the last laugh.

No one is forgiving and forgetting. It's never happened, and it never will.
