Over the last two seasons, the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers rivalry has intensified as the team from the Windy City is starting to take control of the series of late.
Since 2024, the Bears are 3-2 against the Packers, including a split in the regular season and a Green Bay loss in last year's NFC Wild Card Game. Bears defensive end Austin Booker appeared on CHGO, where he talked about the rivalry and whether trash talk is a part of it.
"Yeah there definitely is for sure. A couple of cheap shots and whatnot. Yeah, we just keep swinging."
Austin Booker and the Bears are all business against the Packers
It meant so much to the Chicago Bears fan base to see them win two out of three against the Packers last season. There was a lot of heartbreak in the first matchup last year, which ended with a Caleb Williams interception with under 30 seconds left, but the last two games featured Williams leading double-digit comeback wins.
Looking ahead to the 2026 schedule, the Bears will play the Packers in Green Bay in Week 5 and then host them in Chicago on Christmas Day. Booker isn't bothered by the Bears having to play the Packers and the Detroit Lions on the two major holidays in 2026.
"We're kind of used to it, to be honest. Like, even in high school, we were playing the state championships right before Christmas. We're kind of used to it at this point, and we just try to get to the family when we can, and when it's time for the game, it's time for the game.

No matter when and where, the Bears are ready to prove to the Packers that they are the new kings of the NFC North after winning the division last year.
