Going into training camp, there are a lot of unknowns. The Chicago Bears have a brand-new coaching staff and will implement a new scheme on both sides of the ball.

Also included in those unknowns are several roster spots up for grabs. But, as camp kicks off, we take our best shot at predicting which 53 players make the final cut.

Who gets left on the outside looking in? One recent draft pick, in particular, will have to find a new team. Let's get to it.

Early Chicago Bears 53-man roster prediction as 2025 training camp opens

Quarterback (3): Caleb Williams, Tyson Bagent, Case Keenum

Some teams keep two, some keep three. In this case, the Bears keep Tyson Bagent because they love the talent, but Case Keenum is a valuable mentor as well.

Running Back (4): D'Andre Swift, Roschon Johnson, Kyle Monangai, Ian Wheeler

Travis Homer gets the boot. Maybe he reunites with Shane Waldron in Jacksonville?

Wide Receiver (5): DJ. Moore, Rome Odunze, Olamide Zaccheaus, Luther Burden III, Devin Duvernay

Tyler Scott, a fourth-round pick back in 2023, is now on his way to finding his new team. At one point, the Cincinnati standout was thought as a future starter. Now, a selection from the past coaching staff, Scott is done in Chicago.

Tight End (3): Cole Kmet, Colston Loveland, Durham Smythe

This shouldn't include any surprises.

Offensive Line (10): Ozzy Trapilo, Joe Thuney, Drew Dalman, Jonah Jackson, Darnell Wright, Braxton Jones, Kiran Amegadjie, Ryan Bates, Luke Newman, Theo Benedet

The Bears keep a whopping 10 offensive linemen; a priority position for Ben Johnson.

Defensive Line: (9) Montez Sweat, Grady Jarrett, Andrew Billings, Dayo Odeyingbo, Gervon Dexter, Austin Booker, Shemar Turner, Zacch Pickens, Daniel Hardy

The defensive line is certainly an area where we could see the Bears invest in other veteran cuts.

Linebacker (5): TJ Edwards, Tremaine Edmunds, Ruben Hyppolite, Amen Ogbongbemiga, Noah Sewell

Another position where we don't see any surprises -- linebacker.

Cornerback (6): Jaylon Johnson, Kyler Gordon, Tyrique Stevenson, Terell Smith, Josh Blackwell, Zah Frazier

The rookie, Zah Frazier, rounds out six corners in Chicago.

Safety (5): Kevin Byard, Jaquan Brisker, Elijah Hicks, Jonathan Owens, Major Burns

The Bears see what they have in undrafted rookie Major Burns and whether or not he could potentially take over a starting gig down the line.

Special Teams (3): Cairo Santos, Torey Taylor, Scott Daily

Last but not least, the Bears' specialists round out our projection.
