D'Andre Swift reminds Bears fans of who they have in Ben Johnson
Bears running back D'Andre Swift appeared on 104.3 The Score, where they chatted about everything Bears-related. Swift described Johnson, and the back was honest about what he'd seen over the years in Chicago and when he played with the Detroit Lions.
"He's one of the smartest football minds I've been around. He has a great personality, great character about him. He's actually funny when he wants to be. But he knows when to be serious and get points across."
Johnson has slowly let his personality come out as he gets more comfortable in Chicago. He famously took off his shirt to give Chicago free hot dogs after beating the Philadelphia Eagles last season. Johnson is set to make his acting debut in the new Hallmark movie involving the Bears.
Even with that lighter side of him, he is a man who wants to win. There have been stories about him staying overnight in the Bears facility prepping for the season. Johnson has poured his heart and soul into this job, and last year's 11-6 record in 2025 showed it.
No one at Halas Hall wants to win more than Johnson, and he is going to make it happen. Fans even saw it in his press conference after the 27-9 preseason loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, where he looked mad about the game. It doesn't matter whether the games count. He wants to dominate from start to finish.

Johnson has completely changed Chicago's culture, which had been too used to losing for too long, but now a taste of winning has everyone thirsty for more. No one understands that better than Johnson, who will make it happen again in 2026 no matter what it takes.
