Not great odds.

Remember last year when the Chicago Bears were 4-2, riding high as one of the surprise teams of the NFL, and then the Washington Commanders came in and ruined everything? Yeah, Bears fans try to forget that too.

Last year's matchup was considered one of the best games of the NFL season, as it was largely a defensive battle. Chicago had a 15-12 lead, giving the Commanders a short time to drive down the field and win the game.

It was Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels who pulled off the Superman act that will set the tone for the rest of his season with the Hail Mary that haunts Bears fans to this day. Tyrique Stevenson was waving to fans while the ball landed in Noah Brown's hands to give them the 18-15 win.

That would start the ugly domino effect for the Bears, as they would win just one more game for the rest of the season. Their last win was against the Green Bay Packers in the final week of the regular season. That's right, 10 consecutive losses before that win.

This time, it's going to be different for the Bears as they look for revenge, but how do they stack up against the Commanders this time around?

Bears' odds to beat Commanders not that high

According to BetMGM, the Commanders are favored to win the game by 4.5 points. The over/under on points in the game is at 50.

This will be a good challenge for the Bears, as Caleb Williams has been off to a strong start to the year with nine total touchdowns and two interceptions. He's found good rapport with his fellow 2024 first-round pick Rome Odunze, who has 296 yards and five touchdowns through four games.

They have a tough challenge with the Washington Commanders, who are slowly getting healthier after a rough last two weeks of injuries. Daniels is getting back to 100% after missing two games and should be closer to fully healthy by the Bears game on Monday.

It's a big game for the Bears, as this will serve as a good barometer of whether Chicago is a playoff team or still on the outside looking in.
