Chicago Bears fans have waited months to see what their Rivalries uniform was going to look like.
The Bears were one of eight teams Nike picked to wear new uniforms for rivalry games this season. Chicago will be wearing theirs in the Christmas game against the Green Bay Packers.
Everyone's wait was finally over as all eight of the NFL teams revealed their uniforms. Let's just say Bears fans were... questioning the combo a bit.
Bears fans had quite the reaction to the new Rivalries uniform
A first look at the uniform shows the Bears in a blue jersey, orange pants, an orange helmet, and orange numbers. In a statement, the Bears shared what went into the uniform's design.
"The Chicago Bears Rivalries uniform draws inspiration from the franchise's rich history, the city of Chicago and the generations of players who established the Monsters of the Midway legacy," the Bears said on their Rivalries website. "While honoring the past, the design also looks forward, capturing the mindset and identity of the modern Bears.
Every stitch tells a story — one that connects the legends who built this franchise with the players carrying it forward today. Designed to honor iconic elements from multiple eras of Bears football, the uniform blends tradition and innovation through thoughtful details, historic references and a bold new presentation."

Looking at the comment section of the post, it's not good for the Bears. Many people have been criticizing the uniform and its color combination.
Many Bears fans say it looks too similar to the Illinois Fighting Illini uniforms they wear for football. Besides that, fans didn't love the plain look of the uniforms, and it left a lot to be desired.
Honestly, the uniform is not bad, but it's not flashy. The Bears were going for a classic, simple look, and it worked for what they wanted. For Bears fans, though, they wanted something more modern and flashy.
If it makes the franchise feel better, most of the Rivalries uniforms that came out did not get high reviews. The good news is the Green Bay Packers' appears to be the worst one of the batch, so take that as a victory.

It's one of those uniforms Bears fans will have to get used to, but at least they only have to wear it once this season. There are definitely worse uniforms that could have been released.
