The Chicago Bears' Week 10 loss to the New England Patriots likely will be the game that finally pushes the Bears' front office to realize that Matt Eberflus is not the answer as the team's head coach.
Beginning with how Eberflus handled the aftermath of the Bears' deflating Week 8 loss to the Washington Commanders, the overpromoted defensive coordinator has taught a masterclass of how to lose a locker room.
The culmination of Eberflus' lack of accountability for the coaching staff was the team's pathetic showing on Sunday. For the first time since 2004, the Bears have gone back-to-back games without scoring a touchdown.
In what has become a trend for Bears' season, the team is in the middle of a three-game losing streak. With the Green Bay Packers being the next game on the schedule, Bears fans have one piece of advice for general manager Ryan Poles.

The most important aspect of the Bears' 2024 season was the development of Caleb Williams. With there being clear regression in Williams' development over the course of the past three weeks, the only thing that Ryan Poles should be considering is when to send out the press release announcing that Eberflus has fired.
It doesn’t matter if the #Bears overcome this 10pt deficit to the #Patriots or not, everyone in this stadium seems to know the same thing: this season is over.

A season that started with optimism has crashed to reality. Changes are imminent, as things remain the same in Chicago.… pic.twitter.com/JSUbSaA2ps
For all the talk that Poles wants to have about not mentioning the Bears' history as an incompetent organization, actions will need to prove it.
The Bears have yet to fire a head coach in-season. That is not something to be proud of. No, a team does not enter a season with the thought of, "Well, we can fire our head coach if need be," but they also don't entirely rule out the idea if the situation calls for it. The situation that the Bears are currently in is screaming for Poles to make a historic change in the Bears' organization and fire Eberflus in-season. Otherwise, the calls for Poles' job won't be too far away.
