I thought we were in agreement that only good things were going to happen to the Bears this offseason?
All things considered, the Bears have been on a heater this last month. Getting Ben Johnson to actually want to coach in Chicago is a massive win in and of itself, and watching Johnson assemble a coaching staff full of guys who don't have any connection to the 1985 team has been especially rewarding. Add in the inevitability of throwing a bag at Chiefs' offensive lineman Trey Smith, and the Bears may have themselves a decent offseason on their hands.

So, of course, ESPN had to come in and make a mess of things. They dropped a big list of free agent matches that, in their mind, make a lot of sense. And we're not here to talk about who they have going to the Bears, although I bet you can guess. We're here to talk about the dark, evil magic they're trying to unleash into the world/NFC North. I assume that's what they're doing, because why else would they have *Khalil Mack* signing with the Green Bay Packers?
Why would ESPN even try and speak Khalil Mack joining the Packers into existence?
"The Packers adding Mack to pair with Rashan Gary would boost their pass rush off the edges. Mack had six sacks and 41 pressures in 2024 with the Chargers. And even though he's turning 34 this week, he's still a three-down force with the steady play speed to heat up the pocket."
Honestly? What the hell. Where do they get the audacity? Mack wasn't bothering anyone down in Los Angeles while he was racking up sacks in cool jerseys and great weather. Life was good for everyone. Mack's Chicago debut against the Packers back in 2018 instantly became Bears' lore, and seeing him do the same thing to Caleb Williams next year would be, I think, legitimately bad for my mental health. Can't they just go trade for Maxx Crosby? Or Myles Garrett? Trade for both, I don't care. Anything is better than seeing Mack finish his career in Green Bay.
I'm just going to assume this is trolling. I don't have any real reason to think that, but that's not how assuming works. ESPN just wants to troll the Bears, because of how back they are.
