The Chicago Bears took down the New York Giants on Sunday to move to 6-3 on the year and that is worth celebrating. Sure, the Giants aren't a good football team but they brought their all against the Bears and were leading the game by as many as 10 points early in the fourth quarter.
Past Bears teams would have found a way to continue to let the game get away from them but this team never gave up. They kept scratching and clawing, scoring two touchdowns in the final four minutes to take the lead and ultimately win the game.
This shows that Ben Johnson is already proving his worth, even early in his coaching career. We've seen this team, in back-to-back weeks, win games that, again, past Bears teams would have lost. And that's a testament to Johnson and the culture shift that's taken place with his hire.
Johnson spoke after the game about the Bears come-from-behind win and while he might be sounding like a broken record, clearly what he's saying is getting through to the players.
“It really feels like I’m on repeat here. These guys are finding a way to fight until the end and win these games.”

Bears fans have to admit that this year's team feels different and Johnson is a big reason why that is. Sure, the Bears just beat a bad Giants team by four points but isn't that better than losing to a bad Giants team by as many as double digit points? Of course it is.
Johnson's Bears team is continuing to fight and claw when the game might feel out of hand whereas previous teams would have rolled over or found an even worse way to let the game slip away. The culture shift has been pretty easy to see and that's got to be pretty exciting for Bears fans knowing that, finally, they might have a head coach that can lead them to bigger and brighter things.
