Bears' latest Week 6 injury report brings stress-relieving news on hurt starters

It's looking a lot better.

Well, the injury report is still full like the first one released for Week 6, but a lot more Chicago Bears players are at least on the field working out.

The second injury report came out with much better news, with only one of the 11 players on the list not practicing. Defensive tackle Grady Jarrett missed his second practice of the week for the Bears as he deals with his lingering knee injury.

Jarrett played in the first three games of the regular season before missing the Week 4 Las Vegas Raiders matchup with a hurt knee. He has racked up four tackles and three quarterback hits, but more importantly, the Bears don't have one of their top run stoppers on the field after the Raiders ran for 240 yards in that game.

Other Bears injuries are looking a lot better than they were a day ago

The big news is how Gordon, Loveland, and Wright all practiced. That is at least an encouraging sign that they should be in line to play. Gordon and Loveland have both told the media they plan on playing in Week 6 against the Washington Commanders.

Brisker is another big one, as he went from not practicing at all to being a full participant. That's a drastic, but welcoming change of pace to the week.

For Chicago, all eyes are on Jarrett and whether he can find a way on the field. The good news is that they have one more practice and an additional day for Jarrett to heal up and play. It might be a reach to get him there, but it's better than dealing with a short week.

Overall, as a Bears fan, I find this report much better because it gives the team confidence that most of the starters and key reserve players will be ready to play the most crucial game of the season.
