From the moment Nahshon Wright made his first start in a Chicago Bears uniform in Week 1, he had made big play after big play. He managed to do it all again in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It was an odd game in which the other starter, Tyrique Stevenson, was knocked out with an injury in the first half, leaving Wright to become CB1. He took full advantage of the situation and had himself a game.
Wright had an interception on the Bears' opening drive against Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph, which led to a Chicago touchdown on the next offensive drive. He finished the game with five tackles, two pass deflections, and an interception.
Bears might have a good problem on their hands at cornerback
This is where Bears fans envy the decision head coach Ben Johnson will have to make during the short week. Wright is playing well, but two cornerbacks are about to come back from injury.
Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon are close to returning as they were left on IR for the Steelers game. Chicago hopes to have both guys back in time for the Week 13 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, now at the top of the season's most important matchups list.
Depending on the Stevenson injury, the Bears might be rolling with Johnson and Stevenson on the outside and Gordon at nickel. That leaves Wright as the man on the bench unless Stevenson's injury is more serious than expected.
This season, Wright is tied for the NFL lead in interceptions with his teammate, Kevin Byard III, with five. He also has 10 pass deflections on the season.

Wright has more than done enough to help himself to a massive contract this offseason, but for the time being, he's fighting to keep his starting job on the Bears.
