The final injury report for the Bears came out, and four players were ruled out for the Falcons game. That included three key starters on offense and defense.

  • Kyle Monangai, RB
  • Dayo Odeyingbo, DL
  • T.J. Edwards, LB
  • Keyshaun Elliott, LB

Three players were also listed as questionable for the game, including Caleb Williams, who has a hamstring injury. Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson and defensive back Kyler Gordon joined Williams.

Caleb Williams sounds off on emotions after Week 2 injury

Williams spoke with the media for the first time since Week 2, where he discussed what is happening and what will determine his status for the game. He said he has to go through a stress test before he can start in the Falcons game.

Another aspect of the press conference was media and fan criticism of how he showed his emotions as he was carted off the field during the Vikings game with his hamstring injury. Williams wouldn't apologize for showing his emotions.

"I care about the team, the organization, winning, being out there, my teammates, all of that," Williams said via The Score's Chris Emma. "I care, and that's the biggest thing. This is what I love to do. This puts a smile on my face. It's everything to me. So, not being able to be out there was frustrating. It was more the tears or whatever that was."

Kyler Gordon injury update entering Week 6 Falcons game

Gordon is inching back to the field after the soft-tissue injury he's been working through. His practice window was opened af few weeks ago, so now it's a matter of knowing when he will be back on the field. Bears head coach Ben Johnson gave a vague answer on Gordon's status, but he did talk him up more than usual.

"He's done a great job taking everything we've assigned him so far. I feel good about him, whether that's this week or next week, being able to help us out...I'm encouraged with what I've seen so far."

Ozzy Trapilo's update on when he could play for Bears

Bears left tackle Ozzy Trapilo has not played yet this season after suffering an injury in last year's playoffs. Trapilo has been off the injury report since Week 2, but there has been no clear signal on when he'll play. Johnson gave a general idea of the thinking, and Week 6 could be when he returns.

"We think he's really close," Johnson said. "There's a chance that he's up this week."

Montez Sweat suspended for two games for violating NFL's PED policy

Chicago learned that their starting defensive lineman, Montez Sweat, would be suspended for two games for violating the league's PED policy. Sweat will miss the games against the Falcons and the New England Patriots.

He has had two sacks this season. With Sweat and Odeyingbo both out for Week 6, Austin Booker has to step up at defensive end and become their top pass rusher.
