With a new head coach and offensive mentality, Ryan Poles and Ben Johnson unite to reshape the roster by making some unique trade decisions in this full seven round 2025 NFL mock draft.

2nd Round Pick (No. 45): Kaleb Johnson, RB | Iowa

I know that many Bears fans want to see the Chicago Bears take Ashton Jeanty with the 10th overall pick. The problem in this draft was Jeanty wasn't even an option because he went seventh. Even if he was there at 10, I don't see the Bears taking him unless they somehow land Drew Dalman at center, Trey Smith at right guard, and retain Teven Jenkins at a discount. If that happens then Ben Johnson may convince Ryan Poles to pull the trigger.

In this case, I'm going to assume they don't get that lucky and look to take a running back on Day 2. Kaleb Johnson had a monster season for the Hawkeyes. He led the BIG TEN in rushing yards (1,537) and touchdowns (21).

Johnson has good vision and patience. He is strong and has an above-average explosion to burst through the line. As the power back, he would complement D'Andre Swift well and help guarantee success in short-yardage situations, which the Bears have struggled with since Roschon Johnson dealt with injuries in his first two seasons.

2nd Round Pick (No. 55): Tyler Booker, IOL | Alabama

The Chicago Bears go back to targeting the offensive line with their selection of Alabama guard Tyler Booker. Some have Booker with a first-round grade and honestly, I might be putting him up there sooner rather than later. If Booker goes that early, this could be Donovan Jackson.

Booker is another guy I think could start on Day 1 of his rookie season. He has excellent pad level and balance. Booker has strong, quick jabs that allow him to lock in on defenders immediately. He has the power and athletic ability to move defenders out of the way in the running game. Booker also does a great job remaining square and holding defenders back in the passing game. He would make a great addition to the Bears' offensive line, turning a weak unit into a strong unit over the next couple of seasons.

2nd Round Pick (No. 64): Harold Fannin, Jr., TE | Bowling Green

If you like players who perform well at Senior Bowl practices then Harold Fannin is a name to remember. We will see if it carries over to the game on Saturday, but pairing him up with Cole Kmet while cutting Gerald Everett seems like the smart decision.

Fannin is not a prototypical size for a tight end. He only stands 6'3" but where he lacks in height, he makes up for it in athleticism. He does a great job tracking the ball and has above-average hands. He can make a good matchup nightmare against slower linebackers, but he isn't going to help as a blocker. No worries because they can find a blocking tight end on the cheap in free agency.
