There's always sneaky players that no one is paying attention to that can randomly make the 53-man roster because of what they did on the field. The Chicago Bears have a player who matches that description.
Bleacher Report writer Brent Sobleski shared a list of all 32 teams, with each one having an undrafted free agent who has the best chance to make the roster. Sobleski selected defensive back Tysheem Johnson for the Bears.
"Two different versions of Tysheem Johnson exist. He's either a bulldog of a defender not giving an inch to whoever he's facing or he's the defensive back who gives up big plays after a quick loss.
Both can be seen on Oregon's film last year. What makes Johnson so intriguing as a prospect is that aggressive mentality and the versatility within his skill set.
Last season, he split his time as the Ducks' free safety, working in the box and even lining up over the slot. A coaching staff can possibly hide his limitations by not asking him to do the latter as often.
For the Chicago Bears, Johnson's previous experience provides flexibility. He has a chance to challenge Jonathan Owens in his role behind Jaquan Brisker and Kevin Byard or just serve as a complementary piece."
How Johnson can find his way onto the Bears' roster in 2025
Johnson played his first two seasons of college football at Ole Miss before transferring to Oregon. Last year, he made 67 tackles, three tackles for loss, three interceptions, and one pass deflection in 14 games.
Going into training camp, the Bears have seven safeties fighting for most likely four spots. Johnson is on the outside looking in, but there is a pathway to making the final roster.
The locks on the roster are Kevin Byard III, Jaquan Brisker, and Jonathan Owens. Johnson will be going up against Elijah Hicks, Major Burns, and Alex Cook.
What made Johnson great at Oregon was his ability to create those turnovers at safety. The Bears must have that with their safeties. Most of his heavy lifting will have to happen on special teams to earn his spot.

It's going to be a battle for Johnson to make the roster as he on the third-team right now, but it could make for a great story if he can find his way onto the field and on the 53-man roster.
