There may be some key players the Chicago Bears won't have for their Week 11 showdown with the Minnesota Vikings, but one guy will at least be on the field.

Bears safety Jaquan Brisker was not included in the team's Week 11 inactives list after being questionable to play with a back injury. Brisker told the media after their final practice that he was working towards playing, and the fan base received confirmation when he was not one of the five players included.

  • Case Keenum, Third QB
  • Jaylon Jones, DB
  • Chris Williams, DL
  • Jahdae Walker, WR
  • T.J. Edwards, LB

Chicago still has some key players not playing in the game vs. Vikings

It always seemed like Brisker was going to play in the game. This is good news for the Bears, who need as many of their starters in the secondary as possible to play against a dangerous wide receiver group in Minnesota, featuring Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.

They are already down in the secondary with key starters Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon on IR. Johnson moved closer to starting again after practicing for the first time since Week 2. The Bears initially listed Johnson as questionable, but he has since been downgraded to out for the game.

Edwards not playing was not a surprise as he was already ruled out for the game. He's recovering from his hand injury, for which he underwent surgery, so he is still another week or two away from playing.

Chicago is hoping to have players like Edwards, Johnson, and Gordon back soon, as they need their complete defense back for the tough last two months of the postseason. The Bears will have to find their seventh win of the season without those guys in the lineup.
