Bears announce Week 2 injury report with Darnell Wright hurt
Obviously, the biggest concern at the moment is Wright, who is coming off a very good game for the Bears. He was selected as a second-team All-Pro last year and just earned a massive contract extension last month, so the Bears need to have him in the lineup.
It will be an interesting next two days to see if he can work his way back. If he can't go, there's a very good chance the Bears could put Theo Benedet at right tackle. Benedet did it last year in Week 4 against the Las Vegas Raiders and did a good job with it.
The other major concern is in the backfield with Monangai and Swift both dealing with injuries. They are going to be banged up most likely all season, as they both got hurt late in training camp. The fact that they are still practicing is at least a good sign for them.
The defensive tackle position is not as much of a concern right now, with Jarrett and Gallimore out. Jarrett gets one rest day per week, while Gallimore is out sick, so it's more about monitoring the situation.
Woods is a name to watch, as he sat out the Week 1 Carolina Panthers game with a groin injury. Cam Lewis, who actually played well in his role despite being a last-second replacement, replaced him.
Muhammad is another name to watch, since he also played really well at nickel for the Bears. He performed best among the cornerbacks, posting better passer ratings allowed than Jaylon Johnson and Tyrique Stevenson.
This could end up being a long week for the Bears with so many new injuries. They are just hoping that it doesn't turn out like it did last year with the laundry list of injuries week in and week out.
