Injuries have not been nearly as bad this season for the Chicago Bears as they were in 2025, but that doesn't mean they've escaped key issues.
Entering their Week 8 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, the Bears have some top players on IR, like Coby Bryant, Dayo Odeyingbo, and most recently, Cole Kmet. More questions remain about other key starters heading into one of the most important games of the season.
Six players showed up on the Bears' Week 8 injury report entering the Seahawks game. Here is a look at all six players and how severe the injuries are.
Chicago Bears' injuries entering Week 8 against the Seahawks
Kyle Monangai, RB (thumb/toe)
Status: Out
For four games in a row, the Bears won't have Monangai playing. The turf toe injury is the biggest problem right now, as it is taking longer to heal than initially anticipated. Chicago decided not to put him on IR because of it, but now it appears that might have been the right move.
This season, Monangai has had 60 carries for 324 yards and three touchdowns. Hope is inching closer to his return to the field, as he recently reported, but he hasn't practiced in nearly a month.
Malik Muhammad, CB (toe)
Status: Questionable
Muhammad was injured in the Patriots game; a big blow to a secondary that has struggled this year with Jaylon Johnson and Tyrique Stevenson. The toe injury left the Bears shorthanded at corner and will raise plenty of questions heading into the Seahawks game.
This season, Muhammad has allowed a passer rating of 79.9 and a completion percentage of 54.8. The Bears are about to face one of the NFL's top receivers, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, so Muhammad will be needed to help in the secondary.
D'Marco Jackson, LB (ankle)
Status: Questionable
Jackson has filled in nicely for T.J. Edwards while he was out with his hamstring injury over the last two games, including a key red zone interception against the Patriots. The tough part is that Jackson is now dealing with an ankle injury, and his status is uncertain for Seattle.
In seven games this season, Jackson has racked up 21 tackles, one pass deflection, and one interception. This could be a tough depth loss for the Bears if they don't have him on the defensive side of the ball.
T.J. Edwards, LB (hamstring)
Status: No Injury Designation
Speaking of Edwards, he missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, but the Bears survived without their top linebacker. This was the first week in two weeks when he was able to fully practice with the Bears.
This season, Edwards has had 16 tackles, three pass deflections, two tackles for loss, one quarterback hit, and one interception. Chicago's main linebacking starters, Edwards and Devin Bush, will reunite in Week 8.
Colston Loveland, TE (neck)
Status: No Injury Designation
There was a lot of concern about Loveland after he was listed as limited in practice on Friday with a neck injury. Thankfully, he practiced fully on Saturday and will not miss any time.
Loveland is such a key weapon in this offense, especially after losing Cole Kmet to a season-ending knee injury against New England. In seven games, Loveland has caught 26 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns.
Jack Sanborn, LB (concussion)
Status: No Injury Designation
Sanborn missed Week 7 against the Patriots with a concussion, but he is good to play against Seattle. The good news was that he was able to practice all week fully and appears to be good to play.

This season, Sanborn has made four tackles, playing 76% of the special teams snaps and only nine snaps in six games. Chicago gets a key special teams ace back and adds depth to a banged-up linebacker room.
