The Chicago Bears fan base has gotten a taste of what life is like on the other side of the Green Bay Packers rivalry last season, and they are loving every second of it.
All of that is helped by Bears head coach Ben Johnson embracing the rivalry, making comments about beating Packers head coach Matt LaFleur twice a year, and yelling "f*** the Packers" in the locker room. While appearing on ProFootballTalk with Mike Florio, Johnson was asked about the rivalry with the Packers, and the Bears' coach gave the best answer possible.
"Who likes the Packers?"
"The Bears and the Packers, they should not like each other. I think it is as simple as that and I think that's going to make this rivalry, this game something that people are going to watch here going forward."
Ben Johnson doubled down on Bears-Packers rivalry
Johnson is on the money with his assessment, as he brought back a rivalry that Bears fans might hate to admit, but one that the Packers have owned over the past five years. The 2025 Bears team flipped the script and took back control of the rivalry.
After losing the first matchup to the Packers, the Bears responded with Caleb Williams throwing a perfect 46-yard touchdown pass to DJ Moore in overtime to beat Green Bay in Week 16. That was capped by a Wild Card showdown in which Chicago stormed back from 18 points down in the second half to take down the Packers and advance.
In every sense, the Bears have dominated the Packers of late. Chicago won the NFC North with an 11-6 record and reached the Divisional Round of the playoffs. The Bears have beaten the Packers in three of the last four meetings.

Packers fans and other NFL fans might not like how Johnson has approached this rivalry since taking the Bears job, but this is what having a rivalry is all about. He has brought new blood to it, and Bears fans are loving every minute of the ride.
