That mistake still hurts.

After four straight wins, Bears fans were hit with a heavy dose of reality after losing to the Baltimore Ravens 30-16 in Week 8 action.

It was a mixture of mistakes made by the offense in particular that made it tough to watch the Bears on the field. The team had 11 penalties for 79 yards.

Their franchise quarterback, Caleb Williams, though, made the biggest mistake of the game that might have cost them a chance to come from behind. During the fourth quarter, with the Bears only down 16-13, Williams was looking for Rome Odunze, but Ravens cornerback Nate Wiggins had tight coverage, which resulted in an interception deep in their own territory.

Baltimore only needed two plays from nine yards away to get into the end zone and take a 10-point lead. The Bears just were never able to fully recover from it and lost the game.

Ben Johnson was not pleased with the play by Williams

As most Bears fans would expect, head coach Ben Johnson wasn't exactly thrilled with his quarterback regarding the interception. Johnson hinted at a different outcome to the play if Williams wanted it.

"Just in my mind, there might have been another option that we could have gotten to."

Williams finished the game, completing 25 of 38 passes for 285 yards and one interception. It was another game where the second-year quarterback was unable to get his accuracy in order.

This could be a sign of areas Johnson will need to work on with his young signal caller. Williams needs to do a better job of reading the whole field and get his feet set on making the accurate throw.

It was another disappointing performance from Williams as the Bears fell to 4-3 on the season and will have a long week answering for the mistakes made.
