Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson is not only making believers out of residents of the Windy City, but he's got the attention of the sports media.

NFL Spin Zone's Lou Scataglia released his latest NFL head coach power rankings entering Week 6 of the 2025 season. Scataglia ranked Johnson at number 16, giving the first-year head coach credit for getting the team back on track after a tough start.

"Riding a two game win streak into their Week 5 bye, the Chicago Bears may have found something on offense, and second-year QB Caleb Williams might be hitting his stride. He's played a lot better this year and seems to be trending in the right direction, but at 2-2, the Bears haven't done anything overly special, so I can't really justify ranking Ben Johnson much higher than this."

Johnson is proving to be a solid first-year head coach for the Bears

Even the Bears' first loss of the season against the Minnesota Vikings showed Johnson's capabilities as a head coach, as they were three points away from a win. All Bears fans will want to forget about the Detroit Lions game so we can move on.

The progression of the last two games against the Dallas Cowboys and Las Vegas Raiders showed great improvement from the team. Caleb Williams really grew as a passer with great decisions from the pocket, and the defense rode the wave of all the injuries to put up gutsy performances.

From what he's doing on the field to how he responds with the media off the field, Johnson has grown himself as a head coach. His biggest impact? The culture he has installed in the Bears' organization that was sorely missing in the Matt Eberflus era.
