The Bears' bad injury luck this season got worse in Week 8.

Bears head coach Ben Johnson shared the day after the game that four more players hurt themselves in the team's 30-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens: wide receivers Luther Burden and Olamide Zaccheaus, and defensive linemen Dominique Robinson and Shemar Turner.

Bad times in Chicago keep rolling with brutal injury update

Let's start with the offensive guys.

Zaccheaus left the Ravens game with a knee injury, while Burden entered the concussion protocol. Fortunately, Zaccheaus is considered day-to-day, so he could presumably play next week when the Bears travel to Cincinnati. Concussions are impossible to predict, since each injury and each player's reaction to it are different.

If neither man can play, the Bears could use DJ Moore in the slot, or they could turn to Devin Duvernay again. Duvernay took his first offensive snaps of the season after Zaccheaus' injury, with six coming in the slot, three out wide, and one in the backfield, per Pro Football Focus.

Robinson is considered week-to-week with a high ankle sprain, and his absence will be a blow to the Bears' defensive line rotation. After notching just two sacks over his first three seasons, Robinson is already up to 1.5 sacks through seven games this year. That's third-most on the team behind Gervon Dexter and Montez Sweat. His three quarterback hits are tied for third.

Johnson said Turner's season is over after he suffered an ACL injury against the Ravens. Turner's rookie year will essentially be a redshirt season as an ankle injury kept him out of almost all of training camp and each of the Bears' three preseason games.

Turner finally made his NFL debut in Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys and played 23 snaps. He got his first two tackles one week later. He'll finish his rookie season with just 74 defensive snaps and one snap on special teams. In that time, he managed six tackles and two tackles for loss.

With both Robinson and Turner sidelined, the Bears figure to activate Austin Booker from IR. Booker has yet to make his 2025 debut.
