The Chicago Bears got their first win of the Ben Johnson era, as they easily defeated the Dallas Cowboys 31-14. Credit can be given to the defense for shutting down a CeeDee Lamb-less offense, but Caleb Williams had himself a career game, throwing for four touchdowns in the game. One of those touchdowns came on a trick play dialed up by Johnson.
In the second quarter, Williams handed the ball off to D'Andre Swift, who lateraled it back to the quarterback. Williams then launched a deep pass to rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III, who jogged into the end zone for the touchdown to put them up 14-3.
This play was the highlight of the game. Johnson talked about the offense's performance on Sunday during an interview with ESPN 1000 Chicago, and said that while he enjoys "19 play drives," he does "like the 1 play drives."

Ben Johnson issues relatable comments about Luther Burden's trick play touchdown
Lengthy, time-consuming drives that result is points on the board is never a bad thing. But getting some quick points on the board, especially on a highlight-reel trick play.
Johnson showcased that he can draw up some creative plays heading during his time as offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions. He even did so last year when he was on the Lions, helping Detroit secure a blowout 47-9 victory, notably lining up offensive linemen at wide receiver.
Now that Johnson is on board in Chicago, they get to see some of these creative plays work to their benefit. On Sunday against Dallas' defense, Chicago gained 385 yards of offense on 57 plays, averaging 6.8 yards per play. The Bears were also 8-for-14 on third downs and 1-for-1 on fourth downs.

The Bears will look to get their second win of the season next week when they take on the win-less Las Vegas Raiders. We wonder if Johnson will have any more trick plays up his sleeve for next week.
