The Chicago Bears have been known as the "Cardiac Bears" all season, but that nickname will hopefully not be in the picture for their NFC Divisional Round game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Chicago had to storm back from being down 21-3 against the Green Bay Packers to beat them 31-27 in the NFC Wild Card. That was the seventh time this season that Bears quarterback Caleb Williams had to lead a comeback and game-winning drive.
While Bears head coach Ben Johnson likes the fact his team always has the fight in them to erase and deficit, he would like to avoid those situations moving forward.
"We don’t want to put ourselves in a hole against a team like this like we’ve done a number of times this year," Johnson said via 670 The Score' sChris Emma. "We talk about playing a complete game on offense – this is the week that needs to happen for us to beat this team."
Bears need to make sure they take care of business early vs. Rams
The Bears are about to face off against the potential NFL MVP Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, so there is little room for error from Chicago. With how this defense is against big plays, the Rams have Puka Nacua and Devante Adams on the other side, and they will make life hard for the Bears' secondary.
That leaves more pressure on Williams and the offense to get points early. Chicago had a near-perfect first drive in the playoff game against the Packers, where they took half the quarter off the clock, but settled on a field goal. If the Bears can end those drives with touchdowns, they have a chance to put the Rams away early.

Chicago can't offer any hope to this Rams offense, which is already one of the best in the NFL. If the Bears get behind them as badly as they did against the Packers, there's little chance an NFC Championship trip even happens for Chicago.
