It doesn't matter if Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is dealing with a one-point deficit or losing by 18, if he can claw his way out of it, he's going to find a way to do.
Williams has had seven game-winning drives this season, and in three of those games, the Bears were down by 10 or more points with five minutes to go in the game. None was more impressive than beating the odds of an 18-point deficit in the second half to beat the Green Bay Packers 31-27 in the NFC Wild Card game.
Because of the incredible work he has done in late-game situations, Williams is starting to build the best kind of reputation, as he is being called "The Iceman." Well, The Iceman told reporters the secret sauce to how he is able to work through a comeback like that, but he put it in a much simpler way.
"It's about the next play."
Caleb Williams truly has ice in his veins when it matters the most
There were moments in that Packers game where fans could tell that Williams was visibly upset about what was going on through the first three quarters. No matter what, though, that didn't stop Williams from telling his teammates at halftime that they were able to complete the best comeback in Bears history.
No Bears fan would argue against his point there. They managed to come back from 18 points down and score 25 points in the fourth quarter. Not to mention they did it against their arch rivals, the Packers, and that it was the second straight time against Green Bay that they came back from being down by 10 points with five minutes to go to win the game.
This time, though, they didn't need more than 60 minutes to get it done. Williams' 361 yards and two touchdowns during regulation were enough to bury the Packers and send them home with their tails between their legs for good.

There is no quarterback in the NFL who has been more clutch during the 2025 season than Williams has been, and honestly, it may not even be a close race there. The Bears' second-year quarterback will have another chance to show those clutch genes in front of the nation against the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Round.
