Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is back and ready to face the media in a way he hasn't before.

Williams spoke with reporters for the first time since his hamstring injury in the Bears' Week 2 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He has been working his way back to practice and was limited on the Friday before the Bears' Week 5 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

So far this week, he's been a full participant and is trending toward starting against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6. Williams made several things clear during the presser, and Bears fans loved every second.

Caleb Williams takes on Bears media head on before Falcons game

Right off the bat, before reporters could ask questions, Williams opened the presser with a statement. He started by making his playing status for Week 6 clear.

"Before you start asking, I do not know if I'm playing yet."

Williams continued by thanking the trainers and medical staff for helping him rehab and get into shape. He also shared that before they decide whether he will play, he will have to go through a stress test to determine if he is cleared to play.

Some interesting moments from his presser caught fans' attention. The most fiery one, though, was when Williams was asked why he was keeping his injury so secret, since he hadn't revealed what grade the hamstring tear was. Williams went back and forth with the reporter on it before the quarterback finally snapped back.

“It’s not deserved. Next question.”

When the injury happened, people made fun of Williams on social media for how he reacted, getting emotional and being carted off the field in that Vikings game. He was asked about his reaction, and he was honest.

“I’m always going to show emotion. I care.”

It appears as though Williams has been feeling good while working through this hamstring injury. When asked about how he was moving on it, he gave an encouraging sign.

“I can move. I can run. I hit one of the highest speeds I’ve hit the other day.”

Caleb Williams seems to have the right mindset coming back for Bears

Sure, it's easy to criticize a man after a tough injury, but Williams is keeping it out of the public eye. He is strictly business and ready to lead his team on the field.

Good for Williams for pushing back against the reporter who kept asking him to keep his injury a secret. It's no one's business in the first place, and it's already clear that it was a hamstring, so that was a very odd moment in the presser, but kudos to Williams for pushing back.

He did have a moment at the media availability where he said he was used to his character being criticized and didn't care. Williams' approach to that question showed the maturity and growth Bears fans have seen over the years. It doesn't matter what other people think; he will always be authentic to himself.

All Bears fans care about is his health first and whether he can be the guy they need him to be. Williams seems to check all the boxes and sounds like he's keeping it close to the vest, but ready to play. He needs to carry that demeanor under pressure through the rest of the season.
