Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams had two passing touchdowns during the first half of Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
With his two-touchdown effort against the Jaguars on Sunday in the first half, Williams already tied the rookie-season marks of Justin Fields and Mitchell Trubisky.

It's Week 6.
In his rookie season, Fields passed for 1,870 yards with 7 touchdown passes and 10 interceptions. For Trubisky, in his rookie season in 2017, he had 7 touchdown passes as well to go along with 2,193 passing yards and 7 interceptions.
Williams wasted no time in passing the rookie marks set by Fields and Trubisky as in the third quarter of Sunday's game, the rookie connected with Keenan Allen for his third touchdown pass of the game.

With his three touchdown passes on Sunday, Williams also did something neither Trubisky nor Fields did during their respective rookie campaigns: throw for three touchdowns in a game.
Caleb Williams is the first #Bears rookie QB to throw 3 TD in a game since Cade McNown in 1999.

Caleb Williams is already making fans forget about Justin Fields and Mitch Trubisky.
It can not be overstated the importance of Williams being anointed the starting quarterback upon being selected by the Bears. Since the end of April, Williams has been operating as the starting quarterback of the Bears. With Williams getting the first-team reps during Training Camp and Preseason, that is a reason for the accelerated growth that fans have seen from Williams through the first six weeks of the season.
That wasn't the case for both Trubisky and Fields. Trubisky opened the season as the backup to Mike Glennon before Glennon's ineffectiveness forced the rookie into action. Meanwhile, for Fields, an injury to Andy Dalton forced the Ohio State product into starting duties earlier than Matt Nagy's coaching staff was anticipating.
The Bears have entrusted their offense with Williams and the rookie quarterback is well on his way toward rewriting the team's passing record book.
